The Lost Book Club

by James Brush on February 14th, 2007 | 5 Comments

Update: Click here for the new Lost Book Club index page. I am no longer updating this page.

Last May, I started writing about the books that appear on ABC’s Lost.

Here’s a list of what I’ve read with links to the posts about the books:

Here’s what I still need to read (or skim over again before writing about):

  • Our Mutual Friend (Dickens)
  • On Writing (King)
  • Laughter in the Dark (Nabokov)
  • The Fountainhead (Rand)
  • Evil Under the Sun (Christie)

I will update this post as I read and review the Lost books, and as other books appear.

Hi, I am just starting a little Lost book club myself. My husband and I are reading them. I found a nice list on Lostpedia and also found some others not on the list through other info. JJ Abrahms admits in an interview that The Stand is a huge influence on the Lost series. It has not been alluded to or read in the show, but I thought you might be interested to know about that. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the books.

I’d started with the wikipedia list before I’d heard of Lostpedia, so I know this isn’t comprehensive, but it’s close enough. I think you’re right about The Stand, though. I should probably add it.

You missed “MorelĀ“s Invention” a book by Adolfo Bioy Casares readed by Sawyer on the 4th chapter.
