Sam, There are a number of conservation programs including a National Wildlife Refuge outside Austin (Balcones Canyonlands NWR) which also exists to protect the Black-capped Vireo. The US Army’s Fort Hood, which sits on prime Golden-cheeked Warbler habitat also has an active conservation program.
