Weekend Hound Blogging: Pretty Phoebe

by James | 4 Comments

If you shoot a black-and-white dog in black-and-white, is it a color shot?

Phoebe cut her leg on Friday. Nothing major, but it gave me the chance to break out the dog first aid kit. I put some hydrogen peroxide on it, and then went back inside to get a towel to dry her leg before putting some antibacterial ointment on the wound. When I came back out she was standing on the porch waiting, but the H2O2 that had run off her leg was gone. Down in the yard I could hear Joey throwing up.

Phoebe is fine, and Joey has now learned what happens to dogs who drink H2O2.

That’s a great picture. Meanwhile, I couldn’t help laughing at Joey. Do you really think he’ll remember that lesson, or will the next H2O2 experience transpire exactly the same way?

  2. James says:

I’m hoping for no more H2O2 exeriences, but I would guess he’ll fall for it at least one more time.

    She is such a beauty!

I’m having hard time with the concept of Phoebe standing there waiting. Our boys aren’t so patient with first aid care. They’d be cowering behind a tree or something.

Amy, Phoebe is a pretty good sport. Unless I’m trying to put drops in her ears, then all bets are off. And she thanks you for noticing her beauty.
