They only look blurry because… well, they’re greyhounds. And they’re fast.
This week, I’ve been teaching the old blog new tricks and we now have the capacity to let the pups tell their own story. Phoebe does most of the narration while Joey huffs and puffs bounces around in the background. Here’s Phoebe telling me about her day:

Recently, this blog’s reader (Hi, Mom) called it to our attention that we have been remiss in doing our Friday Hound Blogging exercise. So, here’s Joey and his wolf with the snazzy bandana they gave him at the kennel a few weeks ago.

After the tooth extraction, the painkillers left Joey feeling a little fuzzy.

This week it was Joey’s turn to be the subject of a NaisaiKu for the NaisaiKu challenge. Phoebe will get her shot next Friday.

For my birthday, my parents got me a wide angle lens. Joey was my first subject.
That’s his new soccer ball on the left.
I’d forgotten how much I love shooting wide angle.
The hounds in action this week. It must be dinnertime.

There’s that moment just before a dog barks when you can see it in his eyes.
It’s going to happen.
You know he’s going to bark.
He knows you know he’s about to bark.
It’s like he’s saying, “It’s dinner time. We can do this easy way… or the loud way.”
‘Round here, we seem to opt for the loud way.
