a gnarled oak
It’s a classy looking little book, just plain white paper but with some of the sharpest black and white photos I’ve seen. They’re almost pellucid in their use of light — and the same adjective could be used to describe the micropoems in this chapbook.

a gnarled oak was a limited edition of 50 signed copies made from my favorite micropoems of 2009 for family, friends and a few lucky blog readers. It is a collection of micropoems taken from my micropoetry site a gnarled oak (before it became a literary journal).
a gnarled oak 2010
a gnarled oak 2010 was another limited edition of 50 signed and numbered copies made from my favorite micropoems of 2010 for family, friends and a few lucky blog readers. As with its predecessor, it is a collection of micropoems taken from my micropoetry site a gnarled oak (before it became a literary journal).
Kind words were written about it by Sherry Chandler, Fiona Robyn and Caroline Gill.
