Today we had to have our beloved cat, Morrison, put to sleep. He’s had diabetes and arthritis for the past two years, and today we learned he had cancer and that there was nothing that could be done.
So for today’s old photo we take a look at what’s probably going on in Heaven right now (after Zephyr finished sniffing his butt that is)…
Believe it or not, there’s actually very good news today too, but it will have to wait.
James Brush is a teacher and writer who lives in Austin, TX. He tries to get outside as much as possible.
I am so sorry, James – losing a pet – especially one with so much character – is no different than losing a human family member. Please tell R that your family will be in my prayers.
So sorry to hear about Morrison. That makes for a tough day.
The photo is very cute, and it was a lucky cat to live in such a good environment among greyhounds.
That’s so sad. I’m glad Morrison could have such an obviously great home for his life, though. Maybe he’s chasing geckos in heaven, now that he’s had a rest on a cushy little bed for a while.
